Clinical Evaluation of Latrophilin 3 (LPHN3) Gene in Children with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD )

This Disorder (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder) is a neurodevelopmental disorder defined by impairing levels of inattention, disorganization, and/or impulsivity. Inattention and disorganization entail inability to stay on task, seeming not listen, losing materials, at that are inconsistent with age or developmental level. Hyperactivity-impulsivity entails overactivity, fidgeting, seated, intruding into other people's activities, wait symptoms excessive for level.Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity the most commonly diagnosed psychiatric disorder, occurring in 5-7% children world wide.This study aimed evaluate association between LPHN3 gene attention . Methods: The subjects were 2 groups; Group (I): included 30 patients And (II): apparently healthy individuals as control group. polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism (PCR-RFLP) method was used determine genetic  with polymorphis (rs2349039). Results:  group 20 male (66.7%) 10 females (33.3%), mean 9.8±1.8 years. there statistically significant difference distribution genotypes rs2349039  and groups, (p=0.01). In  group; CG genotype 5.8 folds have  than CC individuals. Also, those GG about Six times more likely ones.
